  • Time well spent

I have been bloghopping today, something I have not done for a while, it is a fun game and quite simple, you click on the blog of a friend and then on to one of their friends that is not on your list and then on to one of theirs and so on, the other way of doing it is to go on to recent posts click on one, anyone it doesnt matter and then click the next blog link at the top of the page, totally random, but so much fun

I have been on some today that have made me go like this 8| I am not going to say who they are as at least two of them are on the lists of friends of mine, all I can say is 'It takes all kinds to make the world tick'

Some have made me do this :( The saying that there is always someone worse off than you is so true.

Mostly though it has been this :) and this :)) some darn funny blogs out there (funny haha as well as the above funny weird)

I have faithfully read the blogs of friends and left comments on some, though I admit to only having read the entries from the past two days. I know I know I have to get my finger out and go visit, I dont want anyone to feel neglected, not that they are, they remain because I love their blogs even though I may not always say so

I have also completly changed round the room that I reside and sleep in, have you ever tried to put a quilt cover on with a cat inside it? Not an easy task believe me, then said cat decided to hide beneath said quilt as I tried to straighten it, complaining every time it came down on top of her! Then said cat tried to get in pillow cases as I tried to put them on pillows, she then padded round nice neatly made bed and wrestled with quilt, result, make bed again, then she had the cheek to stretch out, give a big sigh like she had done all the work and go to sleep!!! I am definately coming back as a cat :))

Right off to blog hop again catch you laters

  • Nothing interesting

Isn't it starnge how a simple thing can make you rethink everything, your life, your work, yourself?

It often takes nothing more than a simple sentence or something you have seen, even just a glimpse to set off a series of thoughts that result in you revamping the way that you look at certain things even if that certain things happens to be yourself and your life.

Often people do this on New Years eve, the beginning of a new year, the beginning of new ways, though often these 'resolutions' fall by the wayside once normality resumes after the festive season. I never make New Year resolutions, to me they are often made because people feel they have to make them, not because they really want to or intend to keep them.

When I do an overhaul of my life it is usually because something has happened that is in it's own way life changing, I hide behind a personna that allows me to be seen and heard but never reached, except on here, on here I am the original me, perhaps I am wrong to show that part, but show it I do.

We all have disguises we use in certain situations, the work personna is usually different to the home personna which can often be different if only slightly to the social personna and so on. Perhaps this is because we wish to keep these areas of our life seperate because we have to have places we can go where we can be free of work or a rest from home? If we intermingled them too much we would become stale and bogged down because we would have no haven, no release from pressures and stress.

Perhaps we just like being mysterious?

Perhaps we are scared of people seeing the 'real' personna?

    Perhaps we are shy?

Whatever the reason for our many different faces that we present we all have one place where we are ourselves, where we can be free from worrying about what people think, what people will say.

    My place is here.

  • Twiddle de dee

Green in a myriad of shades interspersed with yellows, browns and gold, set against a pale blue and white backdrop.

Look to the left or right and there are just the houses of the street I stood on but straight forward the valley that just for a little while shows the promise of spring yet to come, a beautiful sight that brightened the day however briefly.

Apart from that the week goes on as normal and today I am looking forward to a weekend off to enable me to get into the books, yes the studies once again take priority over all else and the world is once again revolving around study time, well my world anyway :)

It is cold again this morning, thank goodness it is dress down day and I can wear something nice and warm with my Jeans, office wear is not designed for winter

    Right breakfast time

  • I am...........

    Tired, overworked, busy, tired

Back to work now, how many hours in a day?

When I finally get a few moments I will blog something worthwhile or not is more like it and uplifting, or sommat.

  • Rambling again

    The dictionary definition of rambling

    ram·bling (rmblng)
    1. Often or habitually roaming; wandering.
    2. Extended over an irregular area; sprawling: a large rambling country estate.
    3. Lengthy and digressive:

    rambling
    Adjective
    1. long and irregularly shaped: a rambling fourteenth-century church
    2. (of speech or writing) confused and long-winded

See I am not always lengthy, though quite often my blogs can be long winded and digressive, but it is'nt so much confusion as clearing out the mind to find the relevant parts.

I write down the stuff in my head in the order that it comes in, this way I can sort it out and place it in logical order to deal with, that makes more sense than carrying round a load of jumbled up half finished thoughts and ideas, doesn't it? Well it doea to me anyway, before blog I used to have a book that I did this in, well several books actually, it is amazing how just letting the words flow can put all things into perspective, how easily solutions come when the problem is unmasked (as it were) and how much more calmly things can be dealt with when they can be seen instead of hovering like carrion birds waiting for their lunch.

The mind is a funny thing, it holds a lot of stuff, good as well as junk, and like all things that you tend to fill up with bits and bobs and junkish type stuff it needs clearing out every so often to allow room for more stuff, so, it is a case of sorting and shifting and filing and deleting, though I haven't yet learnt how to delete, I just put extra filing cabinets in! Can you imagine what would happen if we didn't do this, the overload would be enormous, we would go into melt down, or something 8|

Maybe I already have and dont know it?

Can you tell I have had a day off?

  • Brrrrrrrrrrrrr

    Blooooomin Freeeeezin!

I have been sat shivering reading blogs and commenting, and stuff, it is so cold I think even the icicles have icicles

I need to go have a bath, not that I need a bath, just that I am a fussy sort of person and so I need to have one today before work, but it is sooooo coooold, I shall be brave and go and face the shivery bathroom though

Oh to have a shower again :(

Right off to do other stuff first and then see how many icicles I can grow on my......fingers :))

    Have a great day

  • Way to start a sunday

Tis the 4th Day of the New Year, wonder if this one will pass as fast as the last one seemed to?

I have been chillin this weekend, and freezing, I spent a wonderful hour and a half at four this morning trying to unfreeze frozen pipes in order for the sink to empty, it didn't help that it was full of yacky greasy water that I had to empty out first!

Still I am nothing if not persistent and it is now done and shiny again :))

And now it is coffee time I will be ack later
