  • Lie Game answer is................

    Number 2 was correct.

I have to say that I am touched that you all believe in my honesty or that I am too clever to get caught

Although it is not entirely a lie (cough) the lie is that I have never been arrested, the fact is that I have twice walked out of a shop wihtout paying for something, accidently of course :)) The first time I was home before I knew and my son asked if he could play with his new car, I hadn't bought one and said so, he tole me it was in the bag, and sure enough it was, he was two at the time.

And the second time it was just one of those things where you have hold of something and you are rushing round, and me having a crowd phobia makes it worse, because as a shop fills my need to leave greatens. Have to admit though I kept expecting that hand on the shoulder once I had realised what I had done.

So there you go, yes Adamantixx and notbob I have sunbathed naked on Changi beach, I was 3 at the time ;)

  • The lie game

Apparently I make three statements and you try to guess which is a lie.

    So here goes

    1) I sunbathed naked on Changi Beach (Singapore)

    2) I got arrested for 'accidently' walking out of a shop with an unpaid item

    3) I have had semi erotic dreams about a blogger

    So which is the lie?

  • Alarm Cat

Every weekend the cat and I have a routine, I get up at stupid o clock to make my sons sandwiches and get him up for work, she gets up with me and the first thing I do is give her big loves and then feed her, I potter about doing what needs to be done and she wanders round after me talking away and sometimes getting under my feet, but mainly just wanting a pet every now and then.

When I go upstairs to waken my son, she comes with me, she will wander around the bed miowing at him as I am shaking him and telling him to get up, my son can hold a full conversation in his sleep and appear awake, on occasion when I have woken him and he has said yes he is getting up, I have gone downstairs and he has nodded back off, when I go down the cat comes with me and then spends her time wandering up and down the stairs, if my son nods back off the cat comes and makes a great fuss in the doorway, I always know that means he has gone back to sleep and off I go to reawaken him.

Yesterday I did the very rare and unprecedented act of sleeping in, having had no sleep for several days I finally succumbed about half an hour before the alarm went off and slept right through it. I jumped out of bed an hour and a half after my son had to be at work, he had left so I decided I would go see him on my way to my Mothers and find out how late he had been. It turned out that he wasn't later at all, apparently at 5.25 the Cat had jumped on the bed and started slapping his face with her paws and yowling at him, he woke up and checked the time, noticed there was no coffee at the side of him and realised I had slept in, he dozed back off and after five minutes the cat started batting his face again and yowling at him. He then got up and sorted himself out and set off to work.

I laughed when he told me what had happened, I told him, all we have to do now is teach her how to make his sandwiches and flask and I dont have to get up again with him :))

They say that animals dont know, but I have never believed that having seen the things that they are capable of doing, and this is just one more piece of evidence that proves that they know a lot more than we give them credit for ;)

  • Chilling Wednesday

It is Wednesday, the middle of the week, though all weeks are much the same at the moment and don't really have a middle I am keeping to the tradition of calling this day the middle, so two days since the weekend and two days to go to the weekend, ir there a relevance to this I hear you say, well actually no, but who cares?

It is a beautiful day here as was yesterday, and I will be spending much of it helping mother to sort her wordly goods in to bags and boxes ready for the upcoming sojourn to my sisters, she is supposedly only there for a few weeks while they modernise the bungalow, but who knows it may be for longer, one never can tell what the future is going to bring.

The nice thing about going to Mothers and back, apart from the exercise the six mile round trip walk gives me, is the lovely views on the way there and back, and I get to chill and do things at a slower pace than I would normally, well she is 83, and doesn't like to do things too fast, or orderly

So sunshine, pleasent views and nice chilled walk there and back, what else could anyone want to make a good day, well there are some things, but I cannot do anything about that at the moment.

Hope everyone is having a good, chilled Wednesday, catch you later

  • Back again, I think?

Well it has been a little while since a post, mainly due to the wild swings of my moods at the moment. I have been visiting every day and leaving comments, but each time I do a post and then read it back I delete it (wonder if this one will 'go all the way'?)

One minute I am upbeat and everything is fine, well as fine as it can be when you are unemployed and have no money, lol.

And the next I am sliding headlong down that black pit as yet another thing comes along to kick me while I am down :(

And in between I am dealing with feelings of inadequacy and feelings of elation? Dont ask cos even I dont know, its like being on a bloomin roller coaster!

There are a lot of drawbacks to having to much time on your hands, for a start you think too much, and that is never a good thing. And then you are suddenly spending more time with people that you spent little tme with before and finding that you might not like them as much as you first thought you did as you find out things about their character that are really not very nice.

And thats about it realy for this sunny monday, dont want to get too moany do we :)

Hope you are all having a good day :)

  • Friday is.......

Sometimes days seem to go just right dont they?

You know you have lots to do, you are not looking forward to doing it, then you get a lift to your spirit/mood whatever you want to call it, out of the blue and everything else just seems to fall neatly into place.

Mother is unwell and I have spent this week running round at her beck and call, today saw me heading to the supermarket (on a friday!!) to find food she can swallow, collect milk that she needs and the weekly local paper. Not a chore I was cherishing believe me, as most people know supermarkets are akin to entering the pits of hell to me.

However, I started the day with the news that I had not only passed my last assignment, but had passed with excellent marks (this was compared to the rest of the tutor group :) ) which pleased me immensly, then a little chat with a friend by email, which also had me smiling.

And the supermarket was, for some reason, almost empty, I must have caught it in between rushes, after all this is friday, major shopping day? Walked up to mothers in the beautiful sunshine, spent an hour with her, which was perked up by a visit from the very yummy warden coming to make sure she was ok, he decided to stay and chat a while, and then I sorted Mother out and made sure she had everything she needed for the rest of the day.

Coming back into town, beautiful sunshine, gorgeous view, slightly cooling breeze. And then when I got into town one of the Native Indian groups were there playing pan pipes, I adore the music of pan pipes, they did a beautiful haunting rendition of 'lady in red' as well as Atumn Glow, what a perfect end to a perfect (almost) morning.

And now I am relaxing in my room having just had lunch and not really doing much of anything :)

Hope everyone has had a good day :)

  • Sunshine and Roses

As you all know I am a people watcher, people fascinate me, and the lovely weather we have been having is one of the best times to people watch as it seems to bring out the best, or worst in the case of dressing, in most people.

Fashion seems to become a relative term in the sunshine, I am not a dedicated follower of fashion, despite liking the song ;), I like to dress in what I know suits me but I do know how to co-ordinate my clothes. So what is it that happens to fashion sense when the sun comes out?

Why do the English insist on wearing garishly coloured flowered items in the sunshine? Not that all flowered prints look bad, a pretty print dress can do wonders for the right type of figure, a print top can look great when combined with the right skirt or trousers/shorts, a print skirt looks great with a plain top, and so on.

    But..........

Who told the lady walking down the road in front of me that it was indeed the right thing to wear that really loud flowered top with the hugsely portrayed flowers and that grey checked skirt and flat brown sandals?

Or the other lady that the black and white checked top, that was actually quite pretty on it's own, would pair with a red and green patterned skirt portraying roses and trainers?

And that was before I even hit the town :))

Behaviour is another thing that the sun afects, it goes two ways, people smile a lot more, they look happier, they hold their heads up and bounce along, the sun affects people like it affects flowers it makes them stand taller, it makes them look above ground level, it makes them grow in a manner of speaking.

Or it makes them grouchy because it is too warm and they can't cool down, so still with heads held up they walk round with a scowl on thier faces glaring at everyone that dares to be enjoying the merciless sun, tutting at the short skirts ( which the men are probably secretly enjoying;) ) and the vest top/no top, hunky guys in jeans, hmmmm it is quite warm in here, we will leave that there I think

Have you also noticed how much more considerate people are too? Even to the point of thanking you with a smile should you hold a door open for them or allow them passage past you, the amount of people that I smiled at yesterday that not only smiled back but said Good morning or good afternoon was amazing, and that is something else that helps to keep the bouncy mood going, a smile a day keeps the blues away :))

  • Sunshine and smiles

Isn't it amazing how the sunshine can make you feel so good?

I am out of work and penniless but I wouldn't have traded my walk by the river or my day out yesterday just doing my own thing for a day spent indoors at some desk.

I am actually quite enjoying this break from the daily routine of the work place, my hardest decision of the day being do I play WOW or study, go for a walk, or read a book, I am more relaxed now than I have been in a long, long time.

Some of that of course is to do with friends, some on here who are great people and others elsewhere, who are also great people, my real life friends are few as you know I am very picky about who gets close, lots of acquaintances though that have been sending me messages and stopping to have chats with me while out and about, I even have been spending time with Mother and my lovely followers will know that is something I dont do often or lightly :))

I even got whistled at yesterday, and no Nick I wasn't wearing a skirt! :))

So now I am going to go and catch up with some blogs, and chill for a bit, rest assured I will be back with the morning blog ;)

Edited due to Nick's mind: I was wearing Jeans!!!
